Molly McCullough, Trinity University, Runner of the Week (Week 5)

MOLLY MCCULLOUGH OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore runner from Portland, Oregon, has been named the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Sunday, October 2nd.

McCullough and the Trinity squad competed at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Arkansas last week, where they faced competition from all NCAA Divisions.

McCullough placed 65th out of the entire field of 492 competitors, and 20th among non-Division I runners. She led Trinity to an eighth place finish in the non-DI field after running a personal best time of 18:00.6.

Trinity will compete this Saturday at the UIW Invite in Live Oak, Texas.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Angela Moore of the University of Dallas made her 6K debut this week, finishing in sixth place overall at the East Texas Baptist University Invitational. The junior posted a time of 24:48.5. Ashley Rynard of Texas Lutheran University helped the Bulldogs to a win at the Southwest Texas Junior College Invitational, recording a time of 21:21 over the 3.25 mile course to place second.
