LEAH WESSLER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Ashland, Oregon, has been named the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Sunday, October 16th.
Wessler placed second in a field of over 72 runners at the Lewis & Clark Invitational in Oregon en route to her fourth SCAC Runner of the Week honor this year.
Wessler ran the fastest 6k time in the conference this season, posting a time of 22:12 on a rain soaked grass course.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Molly McCullough of Trinity University finished 19th individually against top ranked Division III teams after posting a time of 22:30. Ashley Rynard of Texas Lutheran University earned a sixth place finish in the Southwestern University Invitational, posting a time of 21:04 in the 5k event. Angela Moore of the University of Dallas recorded a ninth place finish at a home meet, posting a PR of 20:12 in the 5k race.
