JACKSON, Miss. - With October being Breast
Cancer Awareness Month, the football Majors are doing their part to
raise awareness by sporting pink ribbons on the back of their
helmets for tomorrow's Homecoming game against No. 25 Centre
College.
The athletic training department has also joined in for the weekend
by dressing student-athletes with pink pre-wrap for the sports of
soccer and football. Volleyball also sported pink tie-dyed t-shirts
in its 3-0 road win at Mississippi College on Tuesday as part of
the nationally recognized "Dig Pink" campaign.
Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer diagnosed
in women, but despite this fact, a full proof cure has eluded
