LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Trinity University's Jonny Lawson and Schreiner University's Blake Lawson have been named SCAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week after outstanding performances this past weekend in conference soccer action.
SCAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JONNY LAWSON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, October 7th through Sunday, October 13th.
Lawson had a hand in five of Trinity's ten goals this weekend, leading the Tigers to shutout wins over both Dallas and Colorado College.
Lawson scored two goals and an assist on Friday against Dallas, then followed up with a goal and an assist against Colorado College on Sunday afternoon. His goal against Colorado was the eventual game-winner, and on Friday, he had two goals and an assist to
For the season, Lawson now has a team-best seven goals to go with three assists, and has netted two game-winning goals.
Junior forward Seth Windsor of Austin College tallied the only goal of the weekend for Austin College, scoring in the 64th minute to square things up before the 'Roos eventually fell 2-1 to Texas Lutheran. Senior forward Brandon Ogilvie of Colorado College had a pair of goals to lead the CC Tigers to victory over Southwestern. Senior forward Steven Resnik of Southwestern University scored one gaol and assisted on another this week. Sophomore forward Ryan Fernandez of Schreiner University had two goals that helped lead the Mountaineers to two SCAC victories over the weekend. Sophomore midfielder Isaac Lopez of Texas Lutheran scored two goals, tallied two assists, and took seven total shots over two matches. Centenary and Dallas did not nominate anyone for the Offensive Player-of-the-Week award.
SCAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Lawson helped lead Schreiner to two SCAC shutout victories over the weekend - on Friday against Austin College and Sunday against Centenary College. The first-year keeper had four saves while in net, and is now second in the SCAC with 5.00 saves per game.
For the season, Lawson has a save percentage of .732 and three shutouts on the season - two of which came from last weekend's wins.
