HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 2-0, Trinity scored 3 runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead. Rebecca Berreth's 2-out, 2-run double was the key play in the inning.
- Kaci Wellik, in relief of Katie Castillion, tossed 4.2 shutout innings.
- Texas Lutheran made 3 errors in the contest - only the second time the Bulldogs have made 3 errors in a game this season and the first time since a 12-3 victory against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Feb. 6.

- The tournament loss was the first for Texas Lutheran since joining the SCAC. The Bulldogs had won their previous seven SCAC postseason games.
- Trinity's win was its first over Texas Lutheran since the 2014 regular season (3/29).
- Trinity will play in the SCAC Softball championship final for the sixth consecutive year.

Trinity (26-14) advances to Sunday's championship final where they will need just one win to earn the program its first SCAC title since 2007. Texas Lutheran (38-3) will play the winner of the Dallas/Centenary game at 6 p.m. this evening with the winner of that game advancing to play Trinity at Noon tomorrow.
