Nine From SCAC Named To USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Nine Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) women's cross county student-athletes were named to the 2011 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic teams, the organization announced.

Centre College and Rhodes College each placed a league-high three student-athletes on the team. Ashley El Rady, Paige Farris and Bekah Rehkamp reprsented Centre while Madeleine Harrigan, Rebecca Olivarez and Aubrey Schonhoff represented Rhodes.

Trinity University placed two student-athletes on the list. Representing Trinity was the duo of Jessica Pagano and Rosemary Steup.

Colorado College rounded out the SCAC's selections as Devin Nadar was selected to the team.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater through the most-recent semester and placed in the top 35 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
