SCAC Men's Lacrosse Recap - Week Three

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's lacrosse programs took the field this week and earned their first wins of the season. 

Colorado College earned its first victory of the 2019 season, defeating Berry (Ga.) College 10-9 in overtime. Senior midfielder Tyler Borko led the charge for the Tigers, picking up the hat trick, including the game-winner. CC also had contributions from sophomore Boe Gold and junior Coby Petau who had two goals, each. Junior goalkeeper Andrew Harwood earned the win making 14 saves and posting a 60.9 save percentage.

Johnson & Wales followed suit, picking up a 13-10 decision over North Central (Minn.). Junior Coleton Threkeld and senior Deshaunte Long carried the load for the Wildcats, netting five goals each and Longley collected a game-high seven points. In goal, freshman Austin Cruz recorded a 43.5 save percentage on 13 saves. Earlier in the weekend, JWU fell to Northwestern-St. Paul. 

The SCAC men's lacrosse season continues tonight with Johnson & Wales travels to Northland.
