LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All nine of the the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball squads were in action last week, highlighted by Southwestern hosting the B-C Crossover #1.
No. 2 Colorado College continued its unbeaten streak, which now stands at 15, after beating Austin College, Dallas, Centenary and Southwestern in SCAC play.
Southwestern improved to 5-2 in league play after posting a 3-1 mark in the Crossover. The Pirates earned victories over the Roos, the Ladies and the Crusaders.
Dallas went 2-2 to open up conference play, defeating Austin College and Centenary. In non-conference action earlier in the week, the Crusaders defeated Arlington Baptist in four sets.
Austin College and Centenary both recorded its lone league victory against Johnson & Wales.
Other highlights included No. 6 Trinity and Texas Lutheran participating in the Holiday Inn Express Classic II Tournament in Bloomington, Ill. hosted by No. 18 Illinois Wesleyan. The Tigers went 2-2 beating Milikin and Rose-Hulman but falling to No. 19 Chicago and Illin. Wesleyan, while TLU went 0-4. Trinity now sits 12-4 on the season and Texas Lutheran is 4-12.
The conference portion of the SCAC volleyball schedule continues on Friday as Johnson & Wales, Colorado College, Trinity, Texas Lutheran and Schreiner all head to Dallas for the A-C Crossover #1.
