LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse continued last week in impressive fashion as league institutions combined to post a 5-2 record, including Colorado College extending its winning streak to 11 as the Tigers are off to their best start since the 2004 season.

No. 22 Colorado College (11-0) posted a perfect 4-0 record last week, playing four games in six days, including twice in a 25-hour span over the weekend. The Tigers started the week with a pair of home victories against George Fox (19-9) and MIT (19-11) before heading out to California to earn wins over Occidental (14-8) and Pomona-Pitzer (14-7) on Saturday and Sunday. Junior Eva King registered at least a hat trick in each game last week to lead the Tigers offensively. King finished the week with 13 goals, eight assists for a total of 21 points. Defensively Ellie Meyer caused 12 turnovers and picked up nine ground balls. She also grabbed five draw controls in the midfield. CC is idle this week, returning next Tuesday for its final regular season home contest of the year with a chance to tie the program record for longest winning streak, currently set at 12 set back in 2004.

Southwestern (6-4) split a pair of games last week, defeating Willamette on Tuesday, 16-2, before falling in a tight one to Wisconsin-River Falls on Thursday, 18-16. In the win, senior attack Hayley Donnelly poured in four goals and added six assists for 10 points and finished the week leading the Pirates offensively with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 total points. Donnelly has now registered 77 total points on the season which is currently the fifth best individual season total in SCAC history.

Dallas (2-8) dropped its lone contest last week, falling to Wisconsin-River Falls, 26-13. Senior Lexi Leite added to her league leading goal total following a five-goal performance in the loss. Her current total of 48 goals with three regular season contests remaining, Leite stands 10th all-time for goals in a single season.

SCAC women’s lacrosse continues with a light week of action on Tuesday when Dallas hosts St. Edwards in the league’s only game of the week.
