Trinity's Richardson Earns Preseason All-American Honors

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Trinity University's Anecia Richardson has been selected as a D3hoops.com Preseason All-American in an announcement made today by the website.

Richardson, a junior forward/center from Mesquite, Texas, was a Third Team selection and the only SCAC player to make the listing.

In an earlier announcement, Richardson was recognized by Women's DIII News as one of 24 Division III Preseason All-Americans.

The 2013-14 SCAC Player-of-the-Year, Richardson led the conference in scoring at 16.8 points per game while shooting a league-leading 62.4 percent from the field. A four-time SCAC Player-of-the-Week selection during the season, she also averaged 5.8 rebounds per game and was second in the SCAC in blocks with 59. 

Richardson and the Trinity Tigers open the season on Saturday, November 15th in Newberg, Oregon at the George Fox Classic. They take on the home standing Bruins at 6 p.m. local time.
