KENDRA HUMPHRIES OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from College Station, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 14 through Sunday, April 20. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 8
Humphries took second in the shot put at the Angelo State Invitational with a throw of 13.44 meters. This PR keeps her in first place in the conference, third in the region, and 18th in Division III. Humphries also took fourth in the discuss and sixth in the hammer at the meet.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Grayson Shugart of Centenary had an impressive performance on Saturday in the Jim Mize Invitational hosted by Louisiana Tech University in Rustin, La. The rookie earned a 13th-place finish in the 400-meters (1:05.67), finished 20th in the long jump (4.69m) and 25th in the 200 meters (27.62).
