Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Victoria Wilson of LeTourneau finished 11th overall in the heptathlon with 4,115 points at the Carl Kight Invitational, hosted by Stephen F. Austin. Wilson's mark is 17th in the nation and sixth in the region. She had three top-10 finishes in heptathlon events, including setting a personal record in the high jump at 1.51 meters (4' 11 1/2"). Sophomore Rachel Bell of Trinity threw a new personal best in the discus at the Cactus Cup. Her throw of 40.31 meters placed sixth in the discus, and she was also seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.74 meters. First-year Maya Prochnow of Dallas had two personal records in the horizontal jumps at the Jet Relays. She jumped 4.81 meters in the long jump and lept 9.46 meters in the triple jump. Junior Clara Lippert of Colorado College finished fifth in the long jump last Saturday at the War Hawk Classic with a personal-best leap of 17' 3 1/2" - a mark that is the fourth-best jump in the SCAC this season. She also had PRs in the 100 and 200 at the meet. Sophomore Kimora Roberson of Concordia (Texas) represented the Tornados well with a discus throw of 30.33 meters. She also competed in the shot put with a best throw of 9.56 meters.
