KENDRA HUMPHRIES OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from College Station, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 31 through Sunday, April 6. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 6
Humphries threw a personal best in the shot put of 13.26 meters at the David Noble Relays at Angelo State, placing fourth overall at the meet. The toss is currently first in the SCAC conference, second in the region, and 13th in the nation. She also threw the javelin at the same meet, placing third overall with a 32.49 meter effort, placing her fifth in the region.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Maya Prochnow of Dallas jumped a PR of 4.35 meters in the long jump at the UNT Bill Schmidt Invitational.
