LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All eight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer teams kicked off the 2017 season this past weekend, posting a cumulative record of 11-3-1.
This marks the best start to a season in recent years for the SCAC, as five teams remain undefeated.
Austin College, Schreiner University, Southwestern University and #12 Trinity University all opened up 2-0 this weekend. The Tigers highlighted the weekend with a 4-2 win over No. 7 University of the Redlands.
Texas Lutheran went 1-0-1 in two long games over the weekend, defeating LeTourneau with a golden goal in overtime, but ending in a draw against East Texas Baptist.
Colorado College and University of Dallas went 1-1 over the stretch. CC recorded a win over #23 Luther College on Friday, upsetting the Norse, 2-1.
