CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team GPA Award winners were recognized on Wednesday. The award recognizes the women’s collegiate golf program with the highest collective average team GPA which includes all a team’s student-athletes for the 2017-18 season. Full Release
Ithaca College led Division III with a 3.801 GPA but the WGCA also announced the top 25 teams with the highest GPA for each division and the SCAC was represented by Texas Lutheran earning the 23rd position with a 3.442 GPA.
The Bulldogs finished fourth at the 2018 SCAC Women’s Golf Championship, led by sophomore Summer Swift, who became the first Texas Lutheran women’s golfer to collect medalist honors after firing a two-day total of 156.
