NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) released the 2018 Division III PING All-Region honorees Tuesday and three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's golfers were recognized.
Southwestern University placed two on the list, Tyler Gammill and Cade Osgood, while Texas Lutheran University had one honoree, Colin Uecker.
Gammill is currently 49th in the nation with a 75.44 scoring average. He has a 40-25 record against the top 100 golfers in the nation and has posted three top ten finishes this season. This is Gammill's second consecutive season earning the honor.
Osgood has come on strong in his sophomore season and is currently ranked third in the nation in Division III golf. He is also a finalist for the Jack Nicklaus Division III Player of the Year with a 73.14 scoring average. He is gone 15-2 against players in the top 25, 18-1 against 26-50 and is a perfect 29-0 against golfers ranked 51-100. Osgood has finished in the top ten in all but one tournament this season and enters the NCAA Championship after winning Medalist honors at the SCAC Championship.
Uecker is ranked #32 nationally with a 74.00 scoring average. Against players ranked 26-50, he is 6-2 and against players ranked 51-100, he is 9-4. This season, he finished in the top-10 in seven of nine tournaments, while posting top-five finishes on four occasions. At the SCAC championship, Uecker took third place.
