SCAC Women's Basketball Recap - Week Two

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The second full week of non-conference play continued over the Thanksgiving break as SCAC women's basketball teams posted a 12-10 mark.

Dallas and Trinity led the way as both programs went 3-0 over the week.

The Crusaders defeated Randall University, 70-62, on Tuesday before sweeping Rust College (53-49) and Westminster (Mo.) College (63-50) at the Rhodes College Classic in Memphis. UD's Seana Stoia matched her of career-high 27 points to lead all players and recorded her second double-double in a row with 10 rebounds in Sunday's victory over the Blue Jays.

Trinity improved to 5-0 on the season with a victory over UT-Dallas (54-46) on Wednesday followed by a sweep of Hardin-Simmons (74-49) and Howard Payne (72-58) at its own Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday and Sunday. The Tigers' preseason All-American Monica Holguin posted a double-double of 19 points, and a team season-high of 12 rebounds in Sunday's victory over the Lady Jackets. Holguin also led the game with five assists, while chalking up two steals.
