Trinity Women's Basketball Jumps into D3hoops.com Poll at No. 18

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After moving to 9-0 on the season, Trinity University women's basketball moved into the D3hoops.com poll for the first time this year.

The Tigers defeated No. 23 Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran over the weekend to earn their spot. Trinity is receiving 139 points in the poll, more than double their total last week. The Tigers are currently ranked No. 21 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll.

In the Pacific Northwest Tournament last weekend, Trinity handed Puget Sound their first loss of the season, earning a 68-65 win, led by 34 combined points from Micah Weaver and Monica Holguin.

The Tigers followed that up with a win over PLU, defeating the Lutes 81-62.

Currently, Trinity is averaging 71.9 points per game on 45.9% shooting, while holding opponents to just 56.1 points and 31.7% from the floor.

Trinity will face Hanover College on Wednesday before the holiday. They will return from the break to take on No. 15 George Fox University.
