Matthews scored 17 in each game, leading the ‘Roos to a non-conference win earlier in the week against Arlington Baptist and pulled down a career-best 16 boards in the team's win over UD. Matthews’ efforts have lifted Austin College to its first three-game win streak since January 2022.

Sophomore guard Brie Sosa of Schreiner led the Mountaineers to an SCAC split last week including an impressive 69-63 overtime win over Colorado College. Sosa averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game, highlighted by a 16 point, 11 rebounds double-double in the win over the CC Tigers. Junior guard Kailee Mulkey of Texas Lutheran finished with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting in addition to three rebounds and three assists despite not playing in the fourth quarter in a win over St. Thomas.
