COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fourth-seeded Texas Lutheran University advanced to the 2022 SCAC Volleyball Championship semifinals with a 3-1 sweep of fifth-seeded Austin College on Friday morning at Reid Arena on the campus of Colorado College. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Texas Lutheran hit .267, its best hitting performance since a 3-1 win over Colorado College on Oct. 7, which was also played at Reid Arena.
- The Bulldogs closed out the match with a .519 attack performance in the fourth and clinching set.
- Austin College was held to a .132 attack percentage for the match.

NOTABLES
- The match was a quarterfinal rematch from last season and with the win, the Bulldogs moved to 5-0 all-time against the Kangaroos in the SCAC tournament.
- With her 26 digs, TLU's Lexi Morris moved her career total to 2,497 and is just two digs away from matching the career number of Sophie Merrifield of Colorado College, who had 2,499 from 2012-15.
- TLU and Trinity will play in the semifinal round for the second consecutive year; Trinity won last year's semifinal match 3-0. This will be the third overall meeting between the two schools in the SCAC tournament. Trinity earned a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs at the 2013 championships.
UP NEXT
Texas Lutheran (26-9) advances to take on top seed, AVCA third-ranked, Trinity University (25-3), later this afternoon at 3:30 pm MT in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Austin College ends its season with a 16-17 overall mark.
