Trinity's Gore Named SCAC Baseball Elite 19 Award Recipient

CLEBURNE, Texas -- In a announcement made at Friday's conference tournament, Trinity University's Ezra Gore was named the 2023 SCAC Baseball Elite 19 award winner. It is the second consecutive year he has won the award.

Gore, a senior outfielder from Dallas, Texas, was recognized as a Second Team outfielder on the 2023 All-SCAC Baseball Team during the same awards ceremony. A Business Analytics & Technology Major with a cumulative GPA of 3.918, Gore's selection marks the the first time any baseball player has won the SCAC Elite 19 trophy twice and the 17th time overall across all SCAC-sponsored sports a Trinity student-athlete has been recognized with the prestigious award.

Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each conference sponsored-sport as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First or Second Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
