Centenary's Reichek Collects National Team of the Week Honor

SUWANEE, Ga. – The weekly D3baseball.com Team of the Week was announced on Wednesday and for the second-straight week the SCAC was represented as Centenary freshman Aidan Reichek was honored for week six of the 2023 season.

Reichek, a right-handed pitcher from Houston, Texas, led the Gents with a no-hitter in game two of Centenary’s SCAC doubleheader on Saturday against the Crusaders. The no-hitter is the first thrown since Matthew Devillier held Austin College hitless on April 20, 2018 at home. Reichek and Devillier’s no-hitters are the only two in the division III era (2012-present) in program history. He faced 24 batters and threw 70 pitches with 50 strikes thrown, allowed no walks, struck out seven batters and ended with a 0.00 ERA.

Earlier this week, Reichek was also named SCAC Pitcher of the Week.

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its 12th season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.

Reichek is the second-straight SCAC starting pitcher to be selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. Last week, Trinity’s Jackson Teer earned national accolades. He is the second Gent named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, joining teammate Tyler Herrera who earned honors on the inaugural squad this season.
