Tedy Reed, Colorado College, Women's Basketball - Character & Community

TEDY REED OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior forward on the women's basketball team from Littleton, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning March 13.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Tedy has made a large impact for herself, on the women’s basketball program, and Colorado College during her four years. She has been an active member of the Colorado College community during her time in Colorado Springs.

She has set herself a part as a leader on the team as a team captain, a member of the 2021 SCAC All-Sportsmanship team and the 2022 Colorado College Athletic Department Mentorship Award recipient.

Reed has excelled in being both a student and an athlete. She was named to the 2022-23 Academic All District team as well as earning All-SCAC Academic Team all four of her years as a Tiger.

Along with serving as a team captain and her time as a team captain, Tedy placed a priority on serving her community. She co-led the women’s basketball initiative with Team Impact, a program that provides children with special needs the opportunity to ‘sign’ with a collegiate athletic program and be a member of the team. Tedy also was an active member of the 5th Grade Mentorship Program at various elementary schools across Colorado Springs.
