INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – It was recently announced that senior Molly Sheridan of the Trinity women's soccer team has earned the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

Only 10 men's and 10 women's awards are presented across all divisions for fall student-athletes. The prestigious $10,000 scholarship is available for use in an accredited graduate program.

For the fifth straight year, the Tigers have had a student-athlete earn the award, and Sheridan is the third Trinity women's soccer player to be named a scholarship recipient in the past five years. Jacob Galan of men's soccer received the scholarship in 2022 while Abby Holland of women's basketball took the honors in 2020. Fellow women's soccer players Lindsey Peng and Chelsea Cole took the honors in 2021 and 2019, respectively.

Sheridan's stellar offense played a large role in the Tigers success this season with an overall record of 21-1-2 (14-0-0 SCAC). The Tigers finished the regular season as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champions, and went on to win the conference tournament. Sheridan ended their season in the third round of the NCAA III tournament.

The captain was a three-time SCAC Academic Honor Roll recipient and made the Trinity Dean's List. She was also named a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American following the 2022 season.

Sheridan has earned multiple SCAC Player of the Week awards and was named the 2022 SCAC Offensive Player of the Year, scoring a career-high 19 goals this season and moving into the top 10 in school history in both career points (121) and career goals (48). She is a four-time All-SCAC honoree and 2022 was her third straight year to be listed on the First Team. The St. Louis native was also named a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American for the 2022 season after being named to the All-Region First Team.
