Centenary's Patridge Earns SCAC Softball Elite 19 Award

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- In an announcement made Friday evening at the conference tournament, Centenary College's Kaylea Patridge was named the 2023 SCAC Softball Elite 19 award winner.

Patridge, a senior outfielder from Las Vegas, Nev., currently holds a cumulative GPA of 3.911 as major in theoretical mathematics and a minor in biology and was named Second Team All-SCAC on this year's all-conference softball team. While she is the first Centenary athlete to earn Elite 19 honors in softball, she is the second to earn recognition during the 2022-23 year. Patridge joins Jaron Petreas who earned the men's soccer Elite 19 honor back in the fall.

Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each conference sponsored-sport as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First, Second or Third Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
