MAGGIE ROBBINS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior guard from Plano, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, January 22 through Sunday, January 28. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 12)

Robbins led the Trinity women's basketball team to a road weekend sweep against Austin College and Dallas to remain atop the SCAC standings. Robbins averaged 12.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals over the two wins. She picked up seven rebounds to go with five assists and five points in the opener, then stepped up with a season-high 20 points along with seven boards and three steals in the nine-point win over Dallas. On the week, Robbins connected on 40 percent from the field and went a perfect 8-for-8 at the charity stripe. For the season, Robbins in now second in the SCAC in both assists (79) and steals (46) and is connecting on 45.0 percent from the field, currently fourth best in the league.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore guard Grace Moothart of Austin College had a historic performance in a crucial win for the ‘Roos, landing herself in the top five in SCAC history in made threes in a single game. Moothart hit 8-of-16 attempts from beyond the arc as Austin College topped Schreiner 73-68, finishing with a career-high 24 points. She finished the weekend averaging 15.0 points-per-game and hitting 41.7 percent from deep. Junior center Zoe Tomlinson of Colorado College posted a pair of double-doubles last weekend to lead the Tigers to an SCAC road split. Tomlinson dropped 17 points and added 13 rebounds in CC’s 15-point win over Southwestern on Friday and then followed that up with 19 points and 11 rebounds in a tough loss at TLU. Senior forward Alyssa Sullivan of Dallas led the Crusaders to an SCAC split last weekend at home, knocking off Schreiner before falling to Trinity. Sullivan averaged 13.0 points on a blistering 52.9 percent shooting and added 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.5 steals per game on the week. Junior guard Demauria Miles of Schreiner averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 steals and 2.5 rebounds per game on the road to lead the Mountaineers. Miles is now third in the SCAC averaging 15.6 points per game. Sophomore guard Angelina Sotelo of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs to a pair of SCAC wins last week, averaging 9.5 points on 42.9 percent shooting, highlighted by a career-high 18 points off the bench in a key win over Colorado College on Sunday.
