IRVING, Texas -- Christian Green and Jacob Harvey combined for 30 points as the duo led Trinity University to a 67-50 semifinal round win over Colorado College on Friday night at the Maher Athletic Center on the campus of the University of Dallas and a berth in the 2025 SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament championship game for the first time since 2023.

Both teams struggled to get going offensively in the early stages as Trinity held a 9-4 lead over Colorado College midway through the first half. A Jacob Harvey 3-pointer extended the Trinity Tiger lead to 20-12 at the 5:11-mark. Trinity's Jacob Millhouse connected on a transition 3-pointer just before time expired to push the Tiger lead to 31-19 at the break.
Harvey then helped push the lead to 40-21 on a 3-pointer with 15:53 to play. Colorado College did not go quietly as the Colorado College Tigers used a 15-7 run to cut Trinity's lead to 47-36 midway through the second half off a jumper from Gavin Carter. Trinity maintained a lead hovering in the teens before the Texas Tigers put the game away with a dunk from Ty Williams that made it 64-44 with 2:20 to play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams took a while to get warmed up as Trinity shot just 27.8 percent (10-of-36) from the floor in the first half while Colorado College shot at a 32.0 percent (8-of-25) clip during the first 20 minutes tonight.
- Trinity and Colorado College each shot under 40.0 percent for the game.
- The Trinity Tigers more than doubled up the Colorado College Tigers on the glass as Trinity held a commanding 51-25 rebounding edge.
- Trinity won despite committing a season-high 30 turnovers.
- The game featured no ties or lead changes as the Trinity Tigers led the game wire-to-wire this evening.
