ENZO SECHI OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Houston, Texas has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Friday, November 5 through Sunday, November 7.

Freshman forward Adrian Price of Colorado College came off the bench to record game highs of 13 points and nine rebounds to lead CC to a 60-59 victory over Concordia University of Chicago in the season opener for both teams on last Friday. Price scored six points and had the assist on Charlie Rounaghi's game-winning layup with 11 seconds remaining. His efforts helped the Tigers erase a 10-point deficit with 7:22 remaining with a 15-4 run. In his first start the next day, Price came back with 16 points and six rebounds in a 78-74 loss to the University of Chicago. Sophomore guard Mateus Reichert of Schreiner averaged 14 points on 52.6 percent shooting in the opening two games of the season for the Mountaineers. Reichert also averaged 6.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game to open the season. Senior guard Kyle Poerschke of Southwestern picked up where he left off last season, scoring 21 points on an efficient 10-for-20 from the floor in a loss to Howard Payne to open the season. Poerschke also accounted for seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block on the night. Senior guard Jamir Mason of Texas Lutheran made an impact on both ends of the floor for the Bulldogs, averaging 19 points and nine rebounds as TLU split a pair of games to open the season. Mason shot 46.7 percent from the field and added two steals and one assist per contest as well.
