SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- D3Soccer.com announced the Men's Soccer All-American team earlier today. First-year Michael Meese was named First Team All-American as a forward while Senior Brady Johnston was named to the Third-Team as a defender.
The first-year forward led the team and the conference with 16 goals scored during the season. Meese was also named United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American, United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region, First Team All-SCAC, made the SCAC All-Tournament Team and won SCAC Player of the Week twice.
Johnston played a pivotal role in anchoring the Tiger back line that was lights out all season long. The defender stopped numerous attacks and stepped up to make plays in big moments. Johnston caps off his fantastic career with his second D3Soccer.com All-American selection. The senior was also named two- time United Soccer Coaches All-American in 2018 and 2021as well as United Soccer Coaches All-Region those same years. Johnston also earned All-SCAC selections in 2017, 2018, Spring 2021 and 2021. The sparkplug of the Tigers also won the SCAC Defender of the Week award this season.
