Texas Lutheran to Square Off Against Trinity in SCAC Softball Championship Game

IRVING, Texas – The top-seeded Texas Lutheran Bulldogs and the third-seeded Trinity Tigers, will clash for the SCAC Championship as both program's advanced to tomorrow’s championship game of the 2022 SCAC Softball Championship Tournament. Official Championship Website | Bracket | Tournament Stats

TLU extended its SCAC tournament winning streak to 14 games while Trinity is in the winner's bracket semifinal game for the first time since 2016.

CENTENARY 8, SCHREINER 5

Second-seeded University of St. Thomas earned the program's first-ever win in the SCAC Softball Championship with a 4-2 elimination game victory over fifth-seeded Southwestern University on Saturday afternoon.First baseman Addison Lehew drove in three of four runs for the Celts, including a two-run double. Madison Johnson's single up the middle scored Kirsten Williams from second as top-seeded Texas Lutheran University earned a 2-1 nine-inning walk-off win over third-seeded Trinity University in the winner's bracket semifinal game of the 2022 SCAC Softball Championship on Saturday afternoon. Recap


ST. THOMAS 8, CENTENARY 7 
Mallarie Munson sent second-seeded University of St. Thomas to within one game of the SCAC Softball Championship game with a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh, to defeat sixth-seeded Centenary College 8-7 in an elimination game on Saturday evening. Recap


TRINITY 10, ST. THOMAS 9 
Third-seeded Trinity University jumped out to a 9-0 lead after three innings and held off a valiant comeback bid from second-seeded University of St. Thomas to win 10-9 and advance to the 2022 SCAC Softball Championship game. Recap
