LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Texas Lutheran junior shortstop Joe Jimenez was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for week three of the 2022 season.
Jimenez, who was also the SCAC Hitter of the Week, hit an outstanding .700 at the plate for the Bulldogs with seven hits, two extra base hits, and five RBIs as TLU posted a 2-1 mark on the week. Among is extra base hits were a double and a triple as he slugged 1.000 and also stole a base.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its 10th season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Jimenez is already the third SCAC student-athlete to earn National Team of the Week honors. Centenary’s Cole Collins and Southwestern’s Maxwell Mims received recognition for their week two performances.
