SEGUIN, Texas – Trinity University first-year Michael Meese set a SCAC tournament single-game record with four goals as he sparked the top-seeded Tigers to a 6-2 victory over fourth-seeded Colorado College in the semifinals on Friday evening at Gustafson Field. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colorado College struck first when Gabe Kellman found the back of the net in the 20th minute off a feed from Kiran Singh. The Colorado Tigers extended the lead to 2-0 just over 10 minutes later when Vincent Luglio scored on an unassisted tally.
- Meese cut Colorado College's lead in half when he scored at the 43:43 mark off Philip Duenez's assist. The game changed just 55 seconds later when Meese's second goal tied the game at 2-2 just before halftime.
- The Texas Tigers took the lead for good when Meese struck a third time at the 52:21-mark on an unassisted goal. Four minutes later Joseph Kuri made it 4-2. Meese scored his record-breaking fourth goal in the 77th minute before Trinity goalkeeper Juan Carlos Vidales came out of the box to bury a penalty kick at the 85:15-mark.

- The four goals by Meese are the most in a single-game in SCAC history since Texas Lutheran's Luis Green tallied four goals against Schreiner on March 27, 2021.
- Trinity advances to the SCAC championship match for the 10th time in program history, and first since 2018.
- Colorado College current sits at 11-5-1 and will await word of a possible at-large bid on Monday when the NCAA Division III Tournament bracket is announced. The Tigers were ranked third in the most recent NCAA Region X rankings.
