GENEVA, Ohio -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) sent four athletes to compete at the 2022 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships, last week at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio highlighted by a pair of All-American performances.

Trinity senior Sean Majors took home sixth place in the men’s long jump after posting a leap of 7.19m to secure his third All-American honor. The now-three-time All-American joins an elite club in Tiger history as he became the fourth Trinity men's athlete to notch a third such honor, the first to do so since Cody Hall's back-to-back top-four runs in the 110 hurdles (2017, 2018) and the first to do so three times in the same event in Trinity history.

Colorado College rising senior Kendall Accetta earned All-America honors with a seventh-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Saturday. Accetta, from Portland, Ore., finished the race with a school-record time of 10:40.21, smashing her own previous record of 10:56.94, set in Thursday's preliminary race. Accetta is the fifth Colorado College female to earn outdoor track and field All-America honors, and the first since Katie Sandfort finished third in the 10K in 2017.

Other highlights from the 2022 Championships included, Texas Lutheran teammates Scottie Reyes and Zachary Herman.

Reyes opened the championship for the Bulldog duo on Thursday in the discus throw. He entered ranked ninth nationally and would finish 16th with a mark of 47.11m. The two closed out the meet for TLU on Friday, competing in the shot put.

Reyes and Herman entered ranked 16th and 20th respectively and finished 16th and 19th at the national championships. Reyes would post a final mark of 14.61m, while Herman's final mark would be 13.73m.
