Playing in their 10th-consecutive SCAC women’s tournament final, the TU Tigers (25-2) earned the program's eigth conference tournament title and ninth overall championship in the sport - the most in league history. With the team's 24th-straight win, Trinity receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament and will await word of its first-round opponent when brackets are announced on Monday.
- Colorado College came out hot, shooting 53.8 percent in the opening period, hitting on 7 of 13 shots from the field, including 3 of 4 free beyond the arc, to take a 19-11 first period lead.
- Trinity trailed by as many as 12 midway through the second quarter, but scored the last six points of the half and the first 10 points of the third quarter to take its first lead since the opening minute of the game. CC recovered to retake the lead at 38-37 at the end of the third and the game was a nip and tuck affair the rest of the way.
- Trailing 43-41 with 4:36 remaining, Trinity scored nine of the game's final 11 points to pull away for the 50-45 victory.
- The two top shooting teams in the league, both squads struggled on Sunday and finished well below their season averages. Trinity ended the game at 34.0 percent (17-50) and Colorado College was at 32.0 percent (16-50).

- Trinity's Maggie Robbins was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player. Joining Robbins on the All-Tournament Team was Trinity's Ashlyn Milton and Maggie Shipley, Colorado College's Talia Cloud and Rosie Braley and Austin College's Natalie McCoy.
- Trinity now has eight SCAC women's basketball titles; the most of any program in league history.
- The championship is the fifth in the last seven years for Trinity, who made its 10th straight appearance in the tournament final. The TU Tigers are now 6-4 over that stretch of title game appearances.
- This was the second consecutive year the Trinity and Colorado College women have met for the conference tournament title. Last year, Trinity picked up the 73-63 victory on its home floor.
- Colorado College finishes at 16-12 with the loss.
