Teer dominated in his only appearance at this weekend’s season-opening series for #22 Trinity against Babson College (MA), ensuring the Tigers of a three-game sweep to start the year. Teer struck out 14 batters in seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit and one walk among his 24 batters faced in the game. He opened the game by striking out the side in the first two innings, then finished his outing with four strikeouts over the final two innings, and left the game with a 16-0 lead.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior pitcher Kameron Craig of St. Thomas was strong out of the pen this week, making two appearances and registering one save in a pair of wins for the Celts. In two innings or work, Craig didn’t allow a hit or a run while registering three strikeouts. Sophomore left-handed pitcher Cody Myers of Centenary picked up a win in the Gents’ 6-5 victory over Occidental on Feb. 23 as he went seven innings and allowed just two earned runs and three hits with three walks and a season-high seven strikeouts. Myers (2-1) threw 102 pitches (66 strikes) and faced 26 batters.
