ADAM KNUTSON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior midfielder from Dripping Springs, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 23rd through Sunday, September 29th. SCAC Men's Soccer Release (Week 5)
Knutson registered a brace, including ringing home the game-winning goal in the Tigers’ dominant 5-0 win over Schreiner to open up SCAC play last Saturday. Knutson, who is tied for the SCAC lead with seven goals, has scored in six of the Tigers’ eight fixtures, including a streak of four straight matches to open the season. On the year, Knutson now has 15 total points to pace the SCAC.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First year midfielder Emiliano Mondragon of Centenary scored the Gents' lone goal on Friday in their 1-0 victory over the University of the Ozarks Eagles to open conference play Friday evening at home. The rookie found the net in the 57th minute as the goal was Mondragon's second of the season. Sophomore midfielder Zeke Lubin of Colorado College the Tigers over St. Thomas in the SCAC opener for both teams last Saturday. Lubin scored his first goal of the season in the 67th minute, which ended up being the game-winner in the 1-0 contest. He finished the game with three shots as the Tiges remain unbeaten on the year and unbeaten in SCAC regular season contests since October 29, 2021. Graduate Student forward Theo Givens of Concordia lifted the Tornados to a 6-1 win over McMurry to open SCAC play for both squads last Saturday. Givens netted his fifth goal of the season in just the second minute of the match to start the six goal barrage in victory. First year forward Hani Ahmadie of St. Thomas scored the opening goal for the Celts in a 2-1 non-conference fixture at UMHB last Wednesday.
