CHRISTIAN SETTLES AND CAMERON KRIMBILL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 28 through Sunday, April 3. (SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 9)
Settles, a senior from Claremont, Calif., and Krimbill, a junior from Phoenix, Ariz., a doubles pair with just one match together prior to this season, put together an undefeated weekend led by a strong 8-2 victory in the Tigers' battle with NCAA I Nicholls State on Friday. After a 6-4 output against Tyler Junior College Sunday morning, Settles and Krimbill had a 5-4 lead in line-doubles against NCAA I Abilene Christian before the rackets were dropped .
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Seniors Carson Kirk and Austin Cervantes of Schreiner teamed up for the first time this year to secure an 8-3 victory at the top doubles line last week to help the Mountaineers defeat non-conference foe UMHB, 5-4.
