Nguyen, a senior from Sugar Land, Texas, and Liao, a sophomore from Taipei, Taiwan, led the No. 13 Tigers' doubles efforts last weekend with a line-two 6-3 victory over NCAA I Abilene Christian, then followed up with an 8-6 tiebreak victory in the first line over Concordia (Texas), a duo that featured the No. 19 singles player in NCAA III, Joshua Bode.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Seniors Rodrigo Yoshikata and Jace Ware of St. Thomas went 1-1 in doubles play at the top line for the Celts, which included a thrilling victory (8-7) over Southwestern's Oscar Roy and Ashton Ellis on Saturday. Juniors Max Schechter and Dennis Miller of Schreiner went 1-1 on the week at No. 2 doubles, picking up a victory over McMurry's Luis Avila and Eh Ruh Soe on Friday.
