CLAIRE REED OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a first-year midfielder from Harlingen, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played Monday, October 4 through Sunday, October 10. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 6)

Reed had the best individual scoring performance by a Crusader in over three years, notching two goals and two assists in UD's 9-0 dismantling of MUW. Her six points in the game is the most for any Crusader since Elisa Duran posted a hat trick with an assist in the team's 4-1 win over Howard Payne on September 9, 2018.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year forward Samantha Hazen of Southwestern scored a goal and assisted on two others in the Pirates' 5-2 win over Schreiner. The freshman forward was also the most consistent source of pressure against Trinity, utilizing her pace to counter the Tigers' press and move the ball into the attacking third. Junior forward Molly Sheridan of Trinity recorded an assist on Friday in Trinity's 4-0 win over TLU. She also scored the lone goal for the Tigers in their 2-1 loss to Southwestern. First-year defender Chloe Mills of Schreiner scored her first collegiate goal this weekend in the Mountaineers' match against Southwestern.
