JETTA BROQUARD OF AUSITN COLLEGE, a sophomore forward from Siloam Springs, Ark., has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Tuesday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 7th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 2)
Broquard recorded a brace, scoring the opening goal and third tally in the ‘Roos’, 4-1 win over Texas College on the road last Thursday night. It was the first multigoal effort in Broquard’s career after scoring five last year as a rookie. Broquard and the ‘Roos have now secured two wins in the opening three contests for the second-straight year, a feat that has not been accomplished since the 2010, 2011 seasons.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior midfielder Michelle Olicas of LeTourneau scored a goal and added an assist in the YellowJackets, 3-0, win over Millsaps on Saturday. Olivas’ efforts have helped LeTourneau open the season unbeaten through its opening three fixtures. Senior forward Callie Brame of Texas Lutheran registered a pair of assists in the Bulldogs’, 3-1, win over Howard Payne on the road last Saturday.
