MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Trinity University's baseball team jumped three spots to No. 4 in the first week of the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25.
The Tigers sit at 9-2 overall with a 1-1 record against other nationally ranked programs. Trinity has been hot as of late winning seven-straight games including 3-0 sweeps over Texas-Dallas and Austin College.
Trinity's bats are led by senior infielder Connor Moore who is currently batting .400 with a .689 slugging percentage and a team-best 18 hits. Senior outfielder Jeremy Wolf has also been a bright spot for the Tigers, scoring a team-leading 12 runs and 16 RBI.
Junior left hander Chris Tate leads the arms for Trinity out of the pen with a perfect 0.00 ERA, second on the team in strikeouts (18) and has held opposing bats to just a .139 average. For the starters, Senior left-handed pitcher Ryan Gray has been solid as he leads the team in wins (2), strikeouts (21).
The Tigers will face Concordia (TX) on Tuesday before a weekend series at Texas Lutheran University.
