Trinity Men's Soccer Moves Up in Latest National Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Trinity University men’s soccer program jumped up in the national rankings this week after avenging both of their early season losses.

The Tigers moved up two spots in the D3soccer.com rankings, coming in at No. 8. After falling completely out of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, Trinity made a huge leap, moving into No. 15 after receiving no votes for the past two weeks.

Colorado College fell out of the NSCAA rankings after getting to No. 18 last week. CC is receiving 15 votes in that poll, while they earned six from D3soccer.com. Trinity has also moved ahead of CC in the NSCAA West Region rankings, coming in at No. 3 as Colorado College dropped to No. 4.

The Trinity men rank second in the SCAC, averaging 2.0 goals per game, while allowing just 0.38 against, the best mark in the conference. Trinity has posted 10 shutouts on the year, including a shutout of No. 4/7 Brandeis University.

Trinity will hit the road this weekend, taking on Centenary College and Austin College.
