SHREVEPORT, La. - The Texas Lutheran University men advanced to the SCAC championship game for the second consecutive year with a 80-70 victory over Centenary College Saturday afternoon on the campus of Centenary. Official Tournament Website
The Bulldogs, the top ranked team in the lastest NCAA South Region rankings, improved to 20-6 and will play the winner of the Austin College/Colorado College on Sunday at Noon CT for the SCAC tournament title.

- Texas Lutheran made two less field goals than Centenary but sank twice as many three-pointers (10-5) and nine more free throws (22-13).
- Texas Lutheran hit on 10 of 19 shots from three-point range (52.6 percent), the team's third-best performance from distance this season.
- Texas Lutheran led by as many as 15 and never trailed after a three-pointer by Sterling Holmes at the 17:33 mark of the first half.
- Texas Lutheran outrebounded Centenary 42-32.
- Centenary forced TLU into seven more turnovers, but Centenary's points off turnovers advantage was just one point (27-26).
