NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America announced the 2016 team academic awards Wednesday and three programs were recognized, highlighted by Schreiner University earning the President’s Special Recognition. Full release
The Mountaineers were one of 41 teams in all NCAA Divisions and NAIA to earn the President’s Special Recognition. To earn this award, a team must have a collective GPA of 3.5 or better.
Schreiner was joined by Centenary College and Southwestern University as All-Academic Teams. This is the third year in a row that Schreiner has earned this award.
To be honored as an All-Academic Team, a program must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
