LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Two teams have clinched a spot in the SCAC Tournament after the eleventh week of competition.
No. 24 Texas Lutheran (23-11, 13-2) took the series from No. 14 Centenary College (24-9, 9-6) 2-1 and clinched a spot in the SCAC Championship.
No. 4 Trinity University (29-7, 11-4) beat out-of-conference opponent Mary Hardin-Baylor 10-5 in their lone matchup of the week and also clinched a tournament berth. Southwestern University (13-22, 8-7) took two out of three from the University of Dallas (10-27, 6-9) over the weekend.
Schreiner University (10-27, 5-13) took care of Austin College (13-22, 2-13) at home winning the rubber match 12-11 in extra innings to snag the series victory.
As of today, the only teams who have officially clinched a spot in the SCAC Tournament are TLU and Trinity. Be sure to follow SCAC sports on Twitter for updates on tournament seeding (@scac_sports)
