LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Centenary College Gents remained ranked among the nation's top 10 teams after a 2-1 week in conference play.
Centenary moved up one spot from last week in the D3Baseball.com poll to No. 9, while they remained at No. 7 in the Collegiate Baseball/ABCA rankings. Texas Lutheran is also receiving votes in the ABCA poll.
The Gents went 2-1 last week against Texas Lutheran, who currently sits second among the league standings. After a tough 11-0 loss Friday night, Centenary bounced back by sweeping Saturday's doubleheader.
Centenary remains the league's best hitting team with a batting average of .355, while also recording the lowest earned run average, 3.15.
The Gents will face Southwestern University this weekend on the road beginning Friday.
