MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Southwestern University defensive tackle Addison Elliott, as well as the entire offensive line and Trinity University defensive end Luke Packard were named to the D3football.com Team of the Week Tuesday morning.
Elliott, a senior for the Pirates, helped hold the McMurry University to just 99 yards of total offense. He posted four tackles, including three for loss and two sacks in the victory.
Will Devine, Dereck Harenda, Noah Berlanga, Trey White and Jacob Harton made up the Pirates offensive line that helped the squad to 409 yards of offense, including 246 on the ground.
Packard had an impressive stat line, posting 5.5 tackles for loss, including 2.5 sacks. He also posted a team-leading 12 tackles, including eight solo stops.
This upcoming weekend, Southwestern will face East Texas Baptist University, and Trinity will take on Pacific Lutheran University.
