LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Schreiner and Southwestern teed it up this week at the prestigious Division III Golfweek Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Fla.
The Schreiner women shot a final round 327, one shot higher than Monday's round, and fell back one spot to finish 12th (993) at the 18-team Golfweek Fall Invitational.
Senior Kaycee Bankert shot a second-nine score of 35 and turned in a 79 to tie sophomore Piper Gleadhill for team honors in the final round. Bankert also had SU's best finish overall, placing 35th among 90 players with a total of 243 for 54 holes.
After strong second and third rounds, the Southwestern women finished in 13th place with a three-day score of 995, just two shots behind Schreiner.
Sophomore Valentina Olivieri led the Pirates with 244 strokes and tied for 39th (86-79-79).
Wittenburg University, with a three-day total of 927 (+63) captured the team title.
