SHERMAN, Texas - The fifth-seeded Austin College Kangaroos defeated the fourth-seeded Southwestern University Pirates, 3-2, in quarterfinal play at the SCAC Men's Soccer Championship. Official Website | Postgame Interview
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Austin College took a commanding 3-0 lead in the first half through goals from Phillip Le (2) and Juan Ramirez
- Southwestern mounted a second half comeback after Rory McCullough scored on a curling free kick and Christian Lopez's deflected cross found the back of the net to cut the lead to 1 in the 62nd minute
- Southwestern had a goal disallowed in the 74th minute because of an offside call and Austin College were able to hold onto their 3-2 until the final whistle
