LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the Scholar All-America teams for the fall 2016 semester and a total of 10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's and women's swimming & diving teams earned the honor.
This fall, a record 638 teams, representing 394 institutions have been named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams. The awards are in recognition of teams' that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2016 Fall Semester. Ninety-one additional teams and thirty-six more institutions achieved the honor compared to a year ago.
Among SCAC institutions, Austin College, Colorado College, McMurry University, Southwestern University and Trinity University each earned the honor on both the men's and women's side.
The Colorado College men's team - after posting the top GPA among all Division III men's swimming & diving teams a year ago - recorded a 3.53 this fall and placed third among all D3 institutions.
